Thomas P. McCormick, Founder, and Gordon Allison, Technical Director,

direction, McCormick Paints has experienced one of the most impressive
growth rates for a paint manufacturer in the United States. |

In 1949, a young chemist named Harry Feinberg purchased a half interest
in a small paint company in Washington, D.C. He had a big,
trend-setting, idea - to produce a premium line of coatings specifically
for professional painters. As the technical director for a large paint
manufacturer in Baltimore, Harry realized that professional contractors'
needs were different from those of the general public. |
